Whether in error, or to serve their own interests, politicians too often play fast and loose with the truth, exploiting the public's trust in order to gain support.

Politifact is a project of the Tampa Bay Times and its partners to help you find the truth in politics.

I wanted to create a data visualization that both summarized the work of the Politifact journalists and could be referenced as an authoritative source in people's political discussions.

The viz below is a 2nd attempt. I created a similar one back in March 2016 for the primaries. The field of major party candidates is down to two, and the fact check viz is now mobile responsive thanks to new features in Tableau 10.
